Oils for Protection
These oils are tools to support your boundaries. Boundaries are vital. Without boundaries we struggle to know ourselves, our needs, our desires; where we stop and others begin. There are many ways to discover, build, fortify, and protect our boundaries.
Plants introduce themselves to me when I am in need of their medicine. But each of these oil recipes began with an explicit plant offering from a guide in the dream space. Each recipe began with ingredients that carry lineages of protection. The message was twofold: use these ingredients for self-protection, and protection is needed as much in liminal spaces as in waking life.
Explore with these oils. The body oils are subtle, the ritual oils dense. The body oils, with a sunflower oil base, were created for you to apply them generously, maybe after a bath and before heading out to engage with the human world. The ritual oils, in fractionated coconut oil (often used as a carrier in natural perfumery), are paired with a sigil for application, and offer more concentrated magic for time at your altar, or for dreaming spaces. Both are sweet just for sensory love.
